So, I’ve been digging into this whole astrology thing lately, specifically about Mars aspects. It’s pretty wild how much this stuff can supposedly tell you about yourself. I mean, I always knew I was a bit of a hothead, but now I’m starting to understand why.

I started off by reading a bunch of articles online. Lots of them talked about Mars as this “inner warrior” planet and how it’s all about how we assert ourselves. The basic stuff, you know? But I needed to go deeper.
Diving Deeper into Mars
I started studying how Mars interacts with other planets. I was reading up on these things called “aspects,” which are basically like the relationships between planets. These relationships can be “easy” or “hard.” I started paying attention to the trines and sextiles – the “easy” aspects, like Mars trine Sun or Mars sextile Jupiter. Apparently, these bring out the strength and determination in a person, but honestly, any aspect of Mars feels intense to me.
- Start reading the data about Mars aspects.
- Try to understand what I read.
- Make notes of how Mars interacts with other planets.
- Put my birth chart together.
- Check where Mars sits in my chart.
- Try to connect the reading with my own experience.
- Finally, figure out some connections.
Then I got into the squares and oppositions, which are the “hard” aspects. They talk about this stuff like it’s revealing the parts of yourself that you don’t like to admit. For instance, if Mars is squaring your Sun, it might show where you’re insecure or where you struggle with authority. It’s like, whoa, that’s a bit too real, right?
So I did that whole birth chart thing. You put in your birth date, time, and location, and it spits out this chart with all these symbols and lines. I found where Mars was sitting in my chart – it’s in the 12th house, which from what I read can make you secretive and prone to suppressing your emotions. It’s kind of a trip to see it all laid out like that. It’s like someone’s holding up a mirror to your soul.
I read somewhere that individuals with a strong Mars in their chart are usually super energetic, enthusiastic, and have a huge drive to achieve their goals. They’re the go-getters, the ones who don’t back down from a challenge. Which is totally me in some ways. I mean, I’ve always been pretty driven. I like to start things, I like to push myself. That’s why I started working out very often recently.
It did kind of line up with some things I already knew about myself. For example, I know I can be impulsive and impatient. That’s something I’ve always known but have been trying to control all these years. Now I see that maybe it’s just part of my Mars energy or something like that. And the anger, yeah, I definitely have a temper. It doesn’t come out often, but when it does, it’s like a volcano erupting.
But it also made me think about things I hadn’t really considered before. Like, how I handle conflict, or how I go after what I want. I’m starting to see that maybe I could be a bit more strategic, a bit more mindful of how I use my energy. It’s not just about charging ahead like a bull, although sometimes it really feels like it.

It’s a journey, you know? I’m still figuring it all out. But it’s definitely given me a new perspective on myself and why I am the way I am. It’s like I’ve got this new tool for understanding my own inner workings. It’s pretty cool, even if it’s a little overwhelming at times. I guess that’s just life, though, right? Always learning, always growing.
