Okay, so, today I wanna talk about this combo tarot thing I tried out. It was a real trip, let me tell you.

First off, I got my tarot decks together. I’ve got a few, but I went with my trusty Rider-Waite and this newer, artsy one I picked up recently. I always start by shuffling the cards while thinking about what I want to ask, you know, setting the mood. Then I lay out the cards. I usually go for a three-card spread, it’s not too complicated and it gets to the point.
So I did my usual three-card pull, but then I thought, “Why not mix it up?” I took out my second deck and started pulling cards to go with the first set, just to see what would happen. I guess you could say I was doing a one-deck opening spread and then dialoguing with the second deck. I placed a card from the second deck next to each card from the first spread, kind of like they were having a conversation.
Here’s where it got interesting.
- The first combo was the Tower from the first deck and the Five of Swords from the second. Man, that’s a heavy combo. It felt like a warning about some serious shake-ups and conflicts coming my way. Not exactly what I wanted to see, but hey, that’s tarot for you.
- Next up, I had the Lovers paired with the Three of Cups. This one felt a lot nicer. It was all about choices, relationships, and celebrating with friends. It’s like the cards were telling me to lean on my support system, even with the tough stuff from the first combo.
- The last pair was the Hermit and the Queen of Pentacles. This one made me think about taking time for myself, really focusing on my own well-being and stability. It was a good reminder to stay grounded, especially with all the potential drama the Tower and Five of Swords were hinting at.
After pulling all the cards, I just sat there for a while, looking at the combinations and thinking about how they all connected. Tarot cards are interconnected in a lot of ways – their numbers, the symbols, the stories they tell. It’s like a big puzzle, and these combos just added another layer to it.
It was a really cool experiment.
It showed me a new way to look at the cards and get even deeper insights. I’ll definitely be trying this combo tarot thing again. Maybe next time I’ll even use more than two decks, just to see what kind of crazy combinations I can come up with. If any of you guys try this out, let me know how it goes, I’m curious to see what you discover!
