Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this whole astrology thing lately, and let me tell you, it’s a rabbit hole. Today, I’m diving into what they call “love asteroids.” Sounds kinda cheesy, right? But stick with me, it actually gets pretty interesting.
First off, I had to figure out which asteroids are even supposed to be about love. Turns out, there are a bunch: Juno, Erato, Amor, Eros, Psyche, Ophelia, Astarte, and a few others. I grabbed my birth chart and started plugging these bad boys in.
Juno – The Marriage Rock
I started with Juno because apparently, it’s the big one for marriage and commitment. The story goes that Juno was this Roman goddess who was super loyal to her husband, Jupiter, even though he was a total player. So, I found where Juno sits in my chart. It’s supposed to show what I’m looking for in a long-term partner. Mine’s in… well, let’s just say it explains why I always go for the strong, silent type.
The Rest of the Gang
- Erato: This one’s about romantic poetry and inspiration.
- Amor: Unconditional love, they say.
- Eros: This is the asteroid of raw passion and desire. Yeah, baby!
- Psyche: Soul connections and deep emotional bonds.
- Ophelia: Kind of a downer, it’s linked to tragic love and sacrifice.
- Astarte: Fertility and passionate love.
I plotted all of these in my chart. It was a bit of a mess, to be honest. But some things started to stand out. Like, my Eros is conjunct my Venus, which probably explains why I’m such a sucker for romance. And my Psyche is squaring my Moon, which might be why I sometimes struggle to connect with people on a deeper level.
Finding the “One” (Maybe)
Then I got ambitious. I took my crush’s birth info and compared our charts. The astrology folks call this “synastry.” There’s this thing called Union, asteroid number 1585, which is supposed to show how two people fit together as a couple. I’ll just say, there are not exactly a lot of sparks flying there. We got some other interesting stuff, like, Amor and Cupido, which means I might be a soulmate but it’s not going to be an easy ride. So, maybe that’s a no-go.
I also checked out this other asteroid called Vesta, which is all about devotion and focus. It’s kind of like the opposite of all the lovey-dovey stuff, but it’s important too. My Vesta is in a pretty chill spot, so I guess that means I’m good at staying committed when I need to be.
But then I got to thinking, maybe this is all a bit much. I mean, I was spending hours staring at these charts, trying to decode my love life. So I took a step back and remembered what a friend told me. She said the real important stuff in relationships isn’t about asteroids, it’s about Venus, Mercury, and the Moon. These are the planets that really show how you relate to people, how you communicate, and how you handle your emotions.
Keeping It Real
So, yeah, I’m still into this astrology stuff, but I’m trying to keep it in perspective. It’s fun to play around with, but I’m not going to let it dictate my life. At the end of the day, real relationships are about connection, communication, and all that good stuff. The asteroids are just a little extra spice, I guess. Or maybe I should just try a dating app. But I got to say, that this is a really fun experiment to do when I am bored!
