So, I’ve been digging into this whole Vedic astrology thing lately, and it’s honestly pretty wild. Today, I decided to focus on what it means to have Cancer rising, also known as Karka Lagna. It’s supposed to be all about how you come across to people and your general vibe in the world. Basically, it is the first impression to other people.
First off, I had to figure out what my rising sign even was. Turns out, it’s based on the exact time you were born. And you know that I am a Cancer rising.
Once I got that sorted, I started reading up on Cancer risings. They say we’re the emotional, nurturing types. Like, we’re super in tune with our feelings and really care about the people around us. I can see that in myself, to be honest. I’ve always been the one friends come to when they need a shoulder to cry on or just someone to listen.

But it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. Apparently, Cancer risings can also be really moody and get easily affected by other people’s emotions. I guess it makes sense, since we’re so connected to our feelings. And I definitely have my moments where I feel like I’m on an emotional rollercoaster. Sometimes, I really don’t know if it is my own emotion. It’s like I absorb everyone else’s energy, and it can be a lot to handle. And they say that Cancer rising is considered “weak” because it is a Water Sign which brings emotional, or psychic.
It’s all pretty interesting to think about. I’m still not sure how much I believe in all this astrology stuff, but it’s definitely given me some food for thought. Maybe there’s something to this whole Cancer rising thing after all.
I’ll keep you guys posted as I learn more. Maybe I’ll even start looking into my other signs and see what else I can uncover. Who knows, maybe this whole astrology thing will end up being more accurate than I thought!
