Okay, so the other day I was messing around with my tarot cards, just kind of shuffling and seeing what would pop up, you know, the usual. I wasn’t doing a full-on reading or anything, more like just playing around and seeing what combinations I might pull.

So, I’m shuffling, shuffling, shuffling… and bam! First card out is The Star. I thought, “Okay, cool, that’s a pretty good sign.” Feeling hopeful and all that, I pulled a second card, just to see what kind of energy would pair with it. And guess what? It was the 9 of Hearts!
Mixing Tarot and Playing Cards
I know, I know, mixing tarot and playing cards isn’t exactly standard practice. But I like to experiment sometimes. Anyway, for me, the 9 of Hearts has always been a sort of “wish card,” you know? Like, you make a wish on it or it indicates a desire coming to fruition, especially when it comes to emotional stuff and relationships.
So, seeing these two cards together just made me pause. It felt like a really powerful combo. I spent some time just looking at them, feeling into the energy. The Star is all about hope, renewal, and inspiration. It’s like the universe saying, “Hey, things are looking up!” And then the 9 of Hearts chimes in with this promise of wishes fulfilled and emotional satisfaction.
Feeling into the Energy
- I started thinking about how this combo might relate to my own life.
- Where was I needing some hope and renewal?
- What wishes or desires was I holding in my heart?
It felt like the cards were telling me to hold onto my optimism, to keep dreaming big, and to trust that things were moving in the right direction. Like, maybe that thing I’ve been hoping for, that project I’ve been pouring my heart into, is actually going to work out. I decided I would put them together in my desk, so I can see them every day and remember that.
I didn’t do a full reading or anything, but I did take some notes in my journal. Just some thoughts and feelings that came up. It’s funny how just pulling a couple of cards can spark so much reflection. I love these little moments of synchronicity.
Anyway, that’s my little card-pulling adventure from the other day. Just thought I’d share! Have you ever pulled a combo that really resonated with you? Let me know in the comments!
