Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with tarot cards for a while now, mostly just for fun. But lately, I’ve been thinking about using them to get some insights into my relationships. I figured I’d share my little experiment here, maybe someone else finds it interesting.

First off, I grabbed my deck and found a quiet spot. It’s important to make sure no one is going to bother you. Before I do the card pulling, I spend some time to clear my head. I heard somewhere that you gotta make sure your energy is “clear.” So I spent a bit of time just chilling, breathing, trying to get rid of any leftover stress or weird vibes.
Then I started thinking about the questions I wanted to ask. I didn’t want to just throw out random stuff, I wanted to get into some real issues, you know? I grabbed a notebook and jotted down a few things that were on my mind:
- What can I do to make my current relationship better?
- How can I find more love in my life?
- What kind of person should I be looking for?
- How can I be more open to love? You know, not so closed off.
- What’s causing all this tension in my current relationship?
Shuffling and Asking
With my questions in mind, I started shuffling the cards. I shuffled them a bunch of times, trying to focus on each question as I did. Then I cut the deck into three piles and put them back together. I don’t know if this is the “right” way, but it felt right to me.
For each question, I fanned out the cards face down and picked one. I laid them out in a simple row, one card for each question. When I pulled the Ten of Cups for a question about improving my current relationship, I felt a little jolt. I’ve looked it up before, and I know it generally means good things for relationships. That’s a relief. I took it as a good sign, like maybe things are on the right track.
Thinking It Over
After I had all my cards, I spent some time just looking at them. I read the little guidebook that came with my deck to get some basic meanings, but I also tried to think about what they might mean in the context of my life. It felt like I was making progress, but I realized I needed to keep an open mind. It’s not like these cards are magic, but they definitely got me thinking about things in a new way.
I kept shuffling the cards and asking the same questions in different words. Then, I would use the guidebook that came with my deck to look up some basic meaning of the cards. It was fun.
So, that’s my little tarot experiment. It was interesting, and I think I’ll keep doing it. It’s not about predicting the future or anything, but it’s a cool way to get some perspective on things. Maybe I’ll try some more complex spreads next time. Who knows? It’s all about having fun and maybe learning a thing or two about yourself along the way.
